The VideoClock is a Cat-5—USB dongle that passes serial data from any DSan timer or cuelight product to companion software running on a Windows® PC.   The software can also process device data received from a network source*.

The VideoClock application parses the device data, then graphically configures data elements (time remaining, phase lights, cues, etc) according to user-controlled parameters of size, color, background, position, and transparency.  The resulting output may be displayed alone or on top of other running applications such as PowerPoint®.  If displayed alone, a window background color may be selected and keyed to be transparent so that the output can be mixed with another video signal such as a TV broadcast.

The software application need not be installed on the PC.   When the VC-2000 dongle is connected via USB, an embedded drive is enumerated.  The application and custom setups can reside there.  A setup program is available to install the software.  This enables it to run faster and eliminates the need for the dongle when sourcing data over a network.

Pre-configured setups are included with the VC-2000-2 dongle.  They can be opened to display data immediately from a connected Limitimer or PerfectCue.    Also included are custom fonts that can display time remaining at full screen width.
