Two years ago, D'San Corporation was chosen by the Architect of the Capitol to supply Congress with its Limitimer® speaker timer systems (see Web site pages for product information).
Political issues are growing more complex and Senate and House sessions are broadcast and netcast all over the world. Controlling time of the parade of legislators and committee witnesses becomes a challenge.
Limitimer is effective because its remote signal light sits in front of both the legislators and witnesses and provide a clear digital display of the time remaining as well as a sequence of phase lights directing speakers to sum-up and close (stop).
D'San has also provided customized signal lights that the Architect of the Capitol integrated into "electronics boxes" in front of each committee member and witness. These boxes include a microphone, and miniature speaker and other communications controls.
Limitimer speaker timer systems include a timer console that can monitor 4 separate programs one of which, a session program can run in background.
Two timers can control a remote signal light and signal lights can be coded to work with one or any of the timer programs. In addition to the signal lights, D'San supplies big digital clocks that can be permanently fixed to a wall. The clocks can show time-remaining when connected to the Limitimer timer console or the current time of day when the timer is off.
Limitimer is available direct from D'San Corporation and from audio-visual equipment resellers.
MSRP: $817.00
